In honor of “The Stafford Challenge”

If we have a practice of
opening the blinds
onto the day
through writing the
date on paper,
opening the window
for soul’s expression,
making an observation
or inviting a question
with pause and presence—
perhaps a poem
will peek out to bare a little more
of soul’s desire—
