The Land is Not Empty
Sarah Augustine describes the historical impact of the “Doctrine of Discovery” on the current and present day situations both here in the USA and around the world. From her travels and personal experiences, she uses a microcosm example involving the country of Suriname to demonstrate and delineate the usual secret steps that are involved in the insidious, ongoing displacement, and removal of indigenous peoples through governments, businesses, and the global economy. Sarah also uses her own life and the battles she has faced because of the Doctrine of Discovery as a personal example. She peels back layer upon layer of how she has learned to see and the many layers that must be exposed, excavated and repaired for and toward the healing of all humanity.
*This is book three of my journey in learning about the Doctrine of Discovery.
