Before the beginning.

Hugged and Loved: Serene and Stillness.

I’m basking. I’m asking.
I need to hear the Early Words!!!
I’m leaning in because I have forgotten.

This life erased the words You gave me before time began.

This poem was inspired by one “Soul Card” randomly chosen from a deck that was designed by Deborah Koff Chapin through a form of art called Touch Drawing. This card was used as a writing prompt for a 10 minute writing exercise during a writing group held in a local Salt Lake City, Utah bookstore called “Golden Braid”. This is a photo of my card.
