Sorry it’s been a while
Sorry it’s been a while
since I showed up
on the date
for our date.
I think about you
every day, imagining
how this relationship
could really progress…
But it’s the time
it’s the attention
it’s the detail and
intention.
It’s getting into
the right head space or
getting out of my head—
or maybe a little of both?
And finding or choosing
the right words to express my
heart—ache—experience—desire
in a casual, deliberate, intelligent,
ardent, understandable,
and purposeful voice—
My Voice.
It’s creating the habit, but
not too much habit that
sameness or rigidity sets in.
Just how do we make
time without allowing
time to take over?
How do we hold
spontaneity, spark, and creativity
alongside rhythm, routine, and plan?
How can all of this
co-exist and create opportunity
for authentic expression and connection?
Cheers to the date, our date, and to your hospitality.
